Are they just a noise soon lost in airI'd like to think I'm pretty strong in my faith. I go to Mass weekly, read about faith, spirituality and religion, pray daily, go to adoration weekly, and help out with the youth ministry program. I know the effects that God has made in my life. I know that my spirituality is something that I'll never walk away from. I might have my moments where I falter, but my faith is very secure.
Or is there more?
I can, however, still appreciate and understand the sentiment in these lines. From the outside, and even from the inside sometimes, it can be hard to understand how prayer can work, or what exactly it is good for. Are the songs that we sing, are the prayers that we recite really affecting anything? Sometimes it is hard to see the direct results. But there are other times where I am so filled with love, so overwhelmed with peace, that there is no doubt, that it is clear to me that prayer really does work, that I can feel God's presence inside of me.
