Caught up in the wonder of your touch

There is immense power in a simple touch. Whether that be a hand on a should when you're crying, a pat on the back from someone you look upto, a caress of a significant other, a handshake as a sign of peace, a touch can communicate many different things, and do so in a way which would require a thousand words.

I hear all the time about being embraced by Jesus Christ, about God's presence enveloping me, but I don't know that I've stopped to consider those simple touches that Jesus would give me. The simple touches that healed the leper, or gave the blind sight. What would that simple touch feel like? What would that hand feel like on my shoulder, that caress, that pat on the back, that offering of peace? I wonder...
