Chris' prayer: Last Day's "Picking up the Pieces of the Lives We Left Behind"

Now here we are to pick up the pieces
Of the lives we left behind

Sometimes it is hard to be Christian. It is particularly hard when it involves making a change in how I live my life, or the things I find acceptable. When such a change occurs, it leaves others wondering what the difference is, and why it is there. "But you were okay with that last time," they say. "What's so different now?"

These times can be hard, but this song reminds me that they are necessary. I must stand firm in what I believe in, even if I didn't follow through on such in the past. I must be willing to pick up those pieces and even explain why the life I'm living now is not the same as the life I was just days ago. God's strength can help me do this. With Him on my side, I can become new again.
