Come and listenI'll be the first to admit that I don't truly listen often enough in my prayer life. I'll read books, or listen to music, hoping to catch glimpses of God through them, and I think that that happens just often enough that I'm content with not sitting and just listening, and letting God speak through the silence that surrounds me. I think I need those quiet times more. I need to be more comfortable with silence and just trust that I'll hear Him, and that He won't tell me things that are beyond my ability, that He will support and affirm me, giving me the answers I need, even if they aren't the answers I want. I need to trust more that I can be okay with that. I need to simply come and listen.
