Katie's prayer: Jars of Clay's "Much Afraid"

So happy to love
Yet so far to go
You lead me on to where I've never been before
One of my favorite phrases to say when I was in middle school was "So close, yet so far away." Don't ask why, cause I really don't know. Playing basketball, if I hit the rim or if I was no where near the hoop, I'd always be like "so close...yet so far away." Really anytime I got the excuse to use that phrase, I would.

All those things I want, things I think God wants for me that aren't happening right now but that I feel like I'm sooooo close to getting. In today's song, God finishes the phrase for me, "yet so far away." "I have so many more places to take you to before that can happen. Patience, My child, patience."

Dear Jesus,
Help me to be patient. Help me to see the importance of the journey rather than the destination.

Love,
Katie
