Megan's prayer: Tree63's "Joy"

I read an article today about nightly prayer, and one suggested way to approach it. This article suggested praying about the past 24 hours. There were 5 steps, each of which you were supposed to try out while reading the article, but I only made it through the first step.

It called for you to go back through your day, hour by hour, and tell God everything you were thankful for during the day. It said to give thanks for the big things that were unique to that day, but also the minor details that we so often take for granted.

The article even said that if you fall asleep during this part of the prayer at night, that it's okay. Giving God thanks is important, and falling asleep while in the midst of praising God was a great way to end your night.

Falling asleep is exactly what happened to me. I wasn't even that tired going into prayer, but I apparently got very detailed in my thankfulness. I remember making it to about 2pm in my thankfulness, then I guess I feel asleep.

Luckily, my roommate coming home, and my dog growling at him, woke me up, and reminded me I had forgotten to finish my nightly prayer.

Now, as I head back to sleep, I have even more things to be thankful for today.
So thankful Lord
