Chris' prayer: Jars of Clay's "Sinking"

You can't hear what I'm not saying
And I can hold out long enough
I've been learning over the course of the past couple years just how important it is to apologize. Even when I don't think I'm the one in the wrong, or that the other person should be the first to apologize, I've been slowly learning the power of setting aside my pride and offering that olive branch.

A lot of times, it is a very tough thing to do. It's tough to do when I know I'm the one who needs to apologize, and it's even tougher when I believe I'm not. But each and every time I'm able to do that, I've grown as a person. Each of us has a need to forgive AND a need to be forgiven. The more we practice one, the easier the other becomes as well.
