Erinnicole's Prayer: Jars of Clay's "Needful Hands"

I'm reaching up a needful hand

Who amongst us truly isn't reaching up a needful hand? We all need something, none of us (by human nature) are ever satisfied. God can fill the empty spot in our hearts. Thinking about all of the other people that need as much, and far more, than i makes me grateful that we are smack dab in the middle of the season of giving. maybe with this newfound awareness, i (or we?) can help a little more so that there can be less needful hands and more helpful ones.

"God can fill the empty spot in our hearts."

Over the past few weeks, my mind has been constantly active. Thinking about who I still need to shop for, what's going on at work, where I'm having trouble in my life.

I've found that it is only when I'm in adoration or at Mass that I'm able to let go of all of those things and just "be." I'm able to let God into my heart during those times.

Sadly, as soon as it's over, I'm back to frantically worrying about what's next.

Hopefully, I'll be able to do a better job about letting God rest on my heart sometime soon.
