Katie's prayer: Veggie Tales' "God Is So Good"

I’ve been sitting here for a while trying to determine what sticks out to me. And every single time, it’s the end... after the song is finished...

*yawn*
Are you getting sleepy?
No
Why don’t you snuggle down into your blankets nice and cozy? And now imagine what your dreams will be.

And I can’t help but imagine this dialogue not between Jr. Asparagus and his mom, but between me and God.

G: Are you getting sleepy?
M: No, I’m fine. I want to stay up and pray.
G: Why don’t you go to bed?

And once I got this picture into my head, I couldn’t really shake it. It’s gotten to the point, that if it wasn’t on replay, then I wouldn’t be able to tell you any other line in this song. So maybe God really is trying to tell me it’s time for bed. It is almost midnight.

Protect us Lord, as we stay awake. Watch over us as we sleep. That awake we may keep watch with Christ and asleep rest in His peace.
