Tonight was XLT at St. Gabes. Of course I went, had to get some Jesus time in! Like always, there’s this struggle going on between what Katie wants and what God wants. Tonight, I did less of ‘demanding that what I want is what should happen’, and more of ‘God show me why I can’t get what I want.’ Amazingly enough, God answered that prayer! (Odd how He never answered my demands.) The answer - wait. It’s always wait. I got a little fed up with that answer tonight. ‘Wait, til when?! Why?!’ Got an answer to that prayer too! I’m more focused on me than I am on God. I’m more focused on the thoughts of others than I am on God. I’m more focused on my to do list than I am on God. Things can’t start going the way I want until I realize that all I am is God’s, until I really am living just for God, and God alone. Something that’s easier said than done.
