I am waiting
I realize this song is really about saving yourself for marriage. But as I was listening the word wait just kept sticking out to me. And I realized, it’s not just about saving yourself, it’s about waiting. Really, there are lots of things I’m waiting for in my life. I’m waiting for youth group to become the cool thing to do and have my attendance be high. I’m waiting for more people to step up and say “yes, I’ll help you.” I’m waiting for that guy to finally notice that I really do like him and him to ask me on a date. I’m waiting for so much, but I’m not a good waiter. Every single day, I’m taking all these things to God saying “fix this, I’m tired of waiting.” So who knows why in the world God has me still waiting on so many things. But from now on, I’m going to be a good little girl and wait patiently. One of my lenten promises actually - be a better waiter. Dear Lord, please help me!
