Katie's prayer: The Tri City Singers' "Never Seen the Righteous"

You don't have to worry about a thing

The above statement is almost impossible for me. I worry about everything - mostly things that I have no control over. It’s stupid cause it’s really a pointless feeling. But I can’t seem to stop myself. My latest worry begins with this weekend. This weekend is the Confirmation Retreat. It means the preparation period is nearing an end (which brings to mind the beginning of this song - I was young, and now I’m old). I’m worried that I haven’t done a wonderful job with these kids. I’m worried that once Confirmation is over, they won’t come back for youth group. Cause let’s face it, those times when I have an event that is not after Confirmation class - not all of them are coming. But all this worrying is pointless, I knew that before, and God’s confirming it tonight.

Dear Jesus, help me to not worry about these kids. Help them to not give me reason to worry.
