Won’t be the same if you’re not here with me
December 20, I traveled back home for the holidays. I returned today. It was a really great time. (And not just cause I went over two weeks without working more than 2 hours.) I got in a lot of great quality family time. And because it was the holidays, it was more than just my immediate family. I got to spend lots of time with my aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandma. I think being so far away from them has led me to appreciate them more. Now when I spend time with them, I make sure it’s always quality time. I make sure I’m fully present in the moment, enjoying their company. Something that’s so easily forgotten about with people you see all the time.
Dear God, help me to spend the same amount of quality time with people I see all the time. Amen.
