I love how powerful songs become when everyone is singing. I love looking around at mass to see teenagers singing. Or to see an old lady really getting into a song and swaying along. I love watching people come up for communion, singing the whole way - even if they don't know the words.

I learned a long time ago that it doesn't matter what you sound like when you sing - the only thing that matters is that you are singing and praising God. These songs are what makes my prayer life so powerful sometimes.
