He has sent me to bring glad tidings to the poorI think the above line plays a big part in God's path for me as a teacher, specifically a teacher in a public school. While the kids aren't necessarily "poor" money wise, many of them are "poor" when it comes to faith. The big question is: how do I teach these kids about God and faith if they are in a public school?
Today I started to find the answer. Love. Showing the kids my love for them, my love for others. Talking with them about how to treat others with respect. Showing them how to be a good friend.
They may not all come out of 4th grade knowing their Missouri history, but I will make sure they know about love.
