Megan's prayer: Kirk Franklin's "Hero"

You are my hero you came and saved The day
Today I was asked why I wanted to be a teacher. I've been asked this countless times, and always have a pretty similar answer - an answer most teachers give (they love kids, they want to impact future generations, etc). After listening to tonight's song, I feel like my focus for my goal of teaching may shift just slightly. I have always wanted to change kids' lives, but I think my focus might just be on changing their day - being their hero for that one day.

We all encounter bad days. Whether we feel unloved, or unworthy, or stressed - these days happen to everyone. I want to be more aware of when people are experiencing those days, and help those people having a rough day. I want to show them God's love for them.
