You are my hero you came and saved The day
This past week was Vacation Bible School for both parishes. The theme of the week was “Hero Headquarters.” They were talking about how Jesus is the true hero. But that we can all be heros with Jesus. Earlier in the week they asked the kids how they could be heros. Their answers were amazing: When we live our faith, when we treat our enemies nicely, when we obey our parents, when we give our money to the Church (yes, a kid actually mentioned this!) we are being heros, just like Jesus. What was amazing to me was that their answers are things that people even my age still struggle with. Little kids, as young as 5 years old listed thing they need to work on to become heros for God that I might even list as things I need to work on! Just proving, that we really do need the ultimate hero (Jesus) our entire lives.
