Chris' prayer: Jars of Clay's "He"

He loves you, He sees you
He knows you, protects you
He needs you, He holds you
I love the resolution here. A song about child abuse and the pain and torture that it inflicts, and all of that sadness is resolved at the end of the song. No matter what is going on in my life, however bad it gets, and thankfully, it never got as bad as being abused as a child, my Savior is there for me.

He loves me. He sees me. He knows me. He protects me. He needs me. He holds me.

While at Encounter, a praise and worship/adoration/holy hour, tonight, I had so many things running through my mind, so many things that I wanted God to take care of. But instead of focusing on all of those things, asking for help with them, I took the hour to praise Him. I chose to praise Him for all the things that are going right in my life, and for all of the things that aren't going so well. Thank you, Jesus, for all of those. Tonight's song affirms my decision to worship Him...He's already got everything under control.
