The tone of this song is absolutely perfect for the lyrics. Especially when the singer is almost whispering into the microphone. These doubts that linger inside us, or at least inside me, I really don't want to admit to. Whether it is a fear of being vulnerable or weak in front of others, or perhaps the same thing inside myself...even just admitting that I might fail...is so tough!
And it doesn't get easier as I've gotten older, either. If anything, it is tougher. When I was younger, it was okay to make mistakes, to not know any better, but as I've gotten older, there is less room or acceptability for the same things. I should know better by now.
