Megan's prayer: Kirk Franklin's "Go Tell It on the Mountain"

Go, tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go, tell it on the mountain
That Jesus Christ is born.

I like the use of the word "everywhere" in this song. It allows for there to be no question about where to spread the good news to.

Often times, I think I have trouble with this idea. I'm pretty good about sharing my faith with those who go to church with me, and the teens in LifeTeen, but outside of those places, I tend to be quiet about my faith. I sure am not spreading it "everywhere" like the song tells me to do. I can stay in my comfort zone if I only share it with the people who I know have similar faith, but am I growing as a Christian at all by doing that? Shouldn't I be challenging myself to share my faith with those who don't know the Good News?

Once again, I have discovered an area for growth with my faith life.
