And I'm gonna celebrate you
I love that at Mass, the priest is "celebrating" Mass. He's not just saying it, but rather it should be a celebration. I think of other things in my life, and how I celebrate them. Today was Dr. Seuss' birthday, and I celebrated it with my class by making Cat in the Hat hats. We read stories, talked about Dr. Seuss, etc. It was quite a celebration of his life.
And to think that Jesus did SO much more for me that Dr. Seuss, and yet every Mass doesn't seem quite as joyous as my celebration today was. Sure, I love to sing loudly and I try to bring joy to the Mass, but I think I could do better. I no longer see Mass as a boring thing like I did when I was a kid, but I shouldn't just stop where I'm at. I need to make every Mass as joyous as possible
