Katie's prayer: Steven Curtis Chapman's "Still Listening"

The years can take us far away

From the simple child like faith

But I am longing to return

To the place where I first learned

That God is great, and God is good

I love little kids. I think part of the reason is that I can get a glimpse into their child-like faith. From teaching Sunday School to 3-5 year olds back in the day, to observing First Communion practice two weeks ago, to interviewing a 2nd grader to make sure she knows all about her First Reconciliation before she actually makes it, it's just amazing to me how much their faith radiates. There is no doubt in their minds that God is amazing and He loves them and always listens. They haven't yet experienced hard times or unanswered prayers. There's a small part of me that really wishes I could become a little kid again just so I could experience that child-like faith again.
