The cross, the crown,
the blood falling down
On the radio the other day, they were talking about how we as Christians focus too much on the Resurrection, and not enough focus on the crucifixion. And really, that’s what Lent is supposed to be - focusing on the crucifixion and all the suffering that came with it. That’s why we give up something - to somewhat partake in that suffering, to keep our focus on Jesus. I honestly haven’t been the best at doing this during this Lent. My plan was to give up x, y, z and replace it with prayer. Plan didn’t go so well. I’m doing great on the giving up, not doing so great on picking up more prayer, instead I’m picking up other habits similar to what I’m giving up. But you know, it’s never too late to refocus on what’s important - the cross, the crown, the blood falling down.
