Your Spirit is within me.I believe this, I just wish I could feel it right now.
At Encounter tonight Adam, the worship leader, was talking about a song he had recently learned. The song talks about allowing Jesus to awaken us, and Adam mentioned how he feels he really needs that right now. I can relate. It is more difficult for me to feel the Spirit's presence in the wintertime. Things slow down. I'm less active. It is generally less beautiful outside. There is less light. It is like I'm hibernating.
I need to be awoken. I'm hoping that is starting to happen. I went on a retreat two weekends ago, went camping last weekend, and have another retreat this weekend. There is another retreat toward the end of the month as well. I hope that all of these will serve to shake me from my slumber and allow me to feel God's Spirit inside of me again. I long for that feeling.
