Megan's prayer: Kathi Troccoli's "Everything Changes"

Everything changes
When you love some, love some, love someone

I had the chance today to start reading The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman and discussing the book with my boyfriend. Although I am only four chapters in, I am already enjoying it. One of the most interesting parts so far is a discussion about how falling in love is very different from actual love. It talked a lot about the obsession/infatuation stage of love, and how this really isn't a good example of what "love" really is. Loving someone is a choice you have to make, and making that choice really does change things. Instead of only thinking about yourself, you start thinking about the well-being of the person you love. I've made the mistake before of thinking that love was supposed to be easy, but I'm learning that it is something that takes time, something you have to work at. When you love someone, everything changes.
