A couple of years ago at an Encounter, the talk was about having a heart that is happy - a heart that smiles. I loved this idea of a heart that is smiling. A heart that is bursting with joy. Although I'm not sure if there is any scientific evidence to back this up, I do think my heart feels different when I'm sad than when I'm happy. I'm sure the expression of a "heavy heart" has to hold some truth. And when I'm happy, my heart really does feel like it could burst out of my chest.
I love being in God's presence, and I think today's lyrics almost down play how I feel when I'm with God. Yes, my heart is satisfied, but that doesn't seem like a strong enough word. My heart is overjoyed. My heart is racing. My heart is smiling.
