Katie's prayer: Kirk Franklin's "He Reigns"

Like this, like that

This line seemed so odd to me. Kirk Franklin is showing people how to clap their hands. Correct m if I'm wrong, but don't people usually already know how to clap their hands? But yet, after every "clap your hands," he feels the need to add "like this." I feel like sometimes my faith life can be like that, though. Like I know how to pray, I know all about the Mass, I know all sorts of things. But still, God is up there saying, "like this." Sometimes just ever so slight corrections in my knowledge. Sometimes, He's just really persistent in things being done exactly how he wants them done. I guess the line's not so odd after all.
