Chris' prayer: Matt Maher's "Better is One Day"

Better is one day in Your courts than thousands elsewhere.

I've been alive for 10,834 days. In that time, I've had a pretty good life. A lot of really wonderful things have happened to me, and I've been blessed to have shared some really wonderful experiences. There have been a lot of highs and not too many lows. A great time, all things considered.

But this song says that one day, one single day, in the midst of my God is better than at least 1/5 of my life. At least. If I happened to ask the author, my guess would be that he or she would say that "better is one day in Your courts than more than 10,000 elsewhere," but that just didn't sound right so he or she just went with "thousands." One day. Better than my entire existence.

Oh, man. I can't wait for that one day. It's gonna be awesome.
