Come on and clap your hands with usI wish my church clapped along to the beat more. One of my favorite parts of the songs is when the musicians stop playing and all that is left is the voices of the congregation. Some clapping to the beat here would be great. Unfortunately, I can only sing or clap. I cannot do both at the same time, otherwise I forget the lyrics or start clapping to some imaginary random beat in my head.
It's more than just clapping, however. I think we need to do a better job at putting our whole bodies into our prayers. I do this to some extent, but I could definitely be better about it. It's all about stepping outside of my comfort zone, which is, by definition then, uncomfortable. Perhaps I need to take more baby steps toward expressing my praise more fully and that will lead other people to the same thing.
