Chris' prayer: Chris Tomlin's "How Great is Our God"

Time is in His hands
This line is sticking out to me tonight, overshadowing everything else about this song. Unfortunately, I'm not exactly sure why. Intellectually, I understand that things will happen on God's time and not mine, and emotionally I'm willing to go along with that at the moment. I'm not really sure why this would be on my heart tonight, but it is.

Maybe it is something as simple as how long it will take me to get to work tomorrow, or how it took me today. With the snow still falling and several inches expected, I know that my commute, if I end up going to work, is not going to be an easy one. I will, if I don't heed tonight's warning, arrive at work stressed out and not at all ready to make the most of the day. Perhaps tonight's song is more a warning about tomorrow, quietly telling me that, however long it takes, God can work in that space and that I should give that time to Him.

...I guess we'll see.
