After listening to the song the first time, these are the lyrics that stuck out to me. They seemed to be the words that are on my heart lately. More than anything, I need God in my life right now. I need him to guide me in my work, and to keep me safe. My thoughts were very "me" focused until I listened to the song again.
These lines follow the lines from above:
You are mine
And yes I made you
Please come to me
Had I listened better the first time, I would have realized that God is talking to me in the song, not the other way around. Had I not been so "me" focused, I would have realized that God is asking something of me. He is asking me to give my life to Him - to dedicate all that I do to Him. He is not demanding that I do this, but rather asking me to do it out of my love for Him.
I want to honor Him. I want to be less "me" focused and more focused on the important things in life.
