Chris' prayer: Steven Curtis Chapman's "Speechless"

I was planning on going to Encounter, a wonderfully awesome praise and worship/adoration/holy hour tonight. Unfortunately, St. Louis is experiencing its first major snowfall of the season and I was worried about driving the 20 or so miles home exactly when it was supposed to be getting really bad ("blizzard like conditions") so I forewent the opportunity.

And I've had a good, productive evening. I did my laundry, folded the clothes and put them away. I shaved. I watched one of my favorite television shows. It has been nice. But I still would have rather been at Encounter. It seems like it's been forever since I've been there and I've really been craving God's presence lately.

This song provided me with that presence. I'm not sure exactly what it is, whether it is the memories that this song evokes, or something specific to Steven Curtis Chapman, or specific to this song, but tonight, this song makes my heart smile. It feels so right. And when I have that feeling, I know that God is right there with me. His presence is within me, brought to me by this song.
