Sweet as the dew in the early mornAlright, so I totally know that this isn't anything about what the song is talking about, but it was the first thing that came into my mind. My first experience with dew, at least that I can remember, was waking up in a little pup tent pitched in my best friend's back yard. It was the first of a handful of times that we would camp in his backyard.
The tent was very small, and I remember waking up and brushing against the side of the tent, feeling the dampness, and thinking it had somehow rained. It didn't take me long to find out that this is what dew was.
That image so readily springs to mind because I enjoyed those times so much. Along with my family camping trips, these experiences helped form my outdoorsy side- the side that is always ready to go camping, no matter the weather. It was, and is, an experience that I cherish, and one that I've come to get a lot out of spiritually. Relaxing underneath a great big sky, without a worry in the world, helps me to open up and feel God's presence.
The dew is sweet, sweet indeed.
