Chris' prayer: Kutless' "Take Me In"

Pass me by the crowds of people
And the Priests who sing your praise
I hunger and thirst for your righteousness
But it's only found in one place
At first, I didn't really care for this part of the song, which is a pretty significant part, considering how few lyrics there are. I thought to myself, "Wait a minute. God is found in each one of those people, in each one of those priests. Why would I want to pass all of them by?"

But as I listened to it more, it dawned on me. The author here is wanting to be that close to God, he wants to be the closest person to Him. Nothing is in the way, nothing between them. Just God and him. That's a pretty powerful thing to want, and a pretty difficult thing to attain, but if that isn't our goal as Christians, then we probably aren't working at our spiritual relationships hard enough.
