Megan's prayer: Rich Mullins' "Alrightokuhhuhamen"

Alrightokuhhuhamen

For me, these four words are pretty common in my vocabulary: alright, ok, uhhuh, amen. For anyone who has had an online conversation with me, they will probably quickly notice that my favorite word is "ok". And when I say it, it can have so many different meanings - some good, some bad. I feel this is the same for "alright" and "uhhuh" as well. They are so overused they become powerless and meaningless.

Luckily, "amen" has not become this way. Luckily, "amen" still means "I believe." Although those other three words should also be affirmative words, they no longer are.

It is my goal to keep "amen" holy. To keep "amen" in my vocabulary, but to not allow its frequent usage to diminish any of its power and importance.
