I lay my burdens down at your nail pierced feet
I really liked this line. I think a lot of times we talk about bringing our problems to Jesus, without even thinking about the difficulties he faced. In today's song, that changes. We clearly see we are laying our problems at his nail pierced feet. Not his beautifully polished feet, but feet that were put through pain and torture. I think this image really helps me put things in perspective. Am I really going to spend hours and hours complaining about something stupid and wanting Jesus to fix it when, after looking at a cross, I'm reminded of the pain he suffered?
