Katie's prayer: Twilla Paris' "Run to You"

I am a little older now, You know it's true.
Maybe a little bit wiser, too, I run to You.

My mother and I watched a movie tonight that was released in 2000. I remember it coming out. And remembering this got me thinking about my life back in 2000. I remember what I did on new year's eve. I remember my friends, the people I disliked, how I looked, what I did for fun, how I felt about myself, and all about my "faith life." If you could even call it that because it really only consisted of 2 Masses a week, once during school and once on Sunday with my family, and probably 90% of the time, not even Mass on Sunday because I was teaching Sunday School while my family went to Mass.

I lot of things have changed since then, I don't even talk to my friends from back then, I've forgiven those that hurt me, I look different, feel different, even my free time activities are different. But most importantly, my faith life is COMPLETELY different. With age, I've wised up and realized the only way to run is towards God. Life is SO much better when my faith life is thriving. These past 10 years have brought a lot of change in my life. I hope over the next 10 years, my faith life continues to go in this direction of change for the better.
