Take me in your arms and hold me Jesus
I saw something tonight that I'm sure you've all seen before. A mother sitting, holding her child. I love this image! You can't help but smile! The child looks so nice and happy and safe in mom's arms, the mom intently listening to what the child has to say. The same can be true when we're held in God's arms... nice and happy and safe and being listened to very intently.
But then again, sometimes, that's not always how it goes, like tonight. The mother was kindly telling her child that it was time to leave. He didn't want to go, and kept trying to object trying to convince them they needed to stay just a little longer. But being very near the child's bedtime and a little bit of a drive to go, the mother was only thinking of what was best for the child. I can often become like that child. Right now being one of those times. Trying to tell God exactly what needs to happen, trying to convince Him of my way. But, unfortunately my way isn't always what's best for me. It's time to put my trust back in God. Trust that he's leading me in the correct direction, despite my desires to go the opposite way.
