I'll go anywhere do anything
The current DRE at Holy Trinity has been saying since my first day that it's her hope that I might someday become the DRE and she'd be my assistant. Earlier this week, that hope became a reality. The option was placed before me to gain 10 more hours a week and gain some of the DRE responsibilities. I accepted the position, and after Christmas, we'll discuss it further. As I was driving home today, I realized that sometimes God takes you to where you never thought you'd go. I mean, my passion is youth ministry. But here I am, youth minister, Confirmation coordinator, and now Director of Religious Education (grades preK-8). I honestly never saw this coming! (: But it's obviously what God wants for me, and I trust in His judgement. So I go. I'm excited to explore this new path He's placed before me.
