I like the dichotomy in the first verse. On one hand we have someone who picks up his whole family and moves to a foreign land to follow Jesus. And on the other, we hear of someone who follows Jesus right in his own backyard. I like that dichotomy so much because there is room for everyone following Jesus. There is room for those who are like the comfort and safety of home, and those who like the adventure and discovery of new places. We can all find a way to follow Jesus and that way, whatever it might entail, is no greater or worse than someone else's way, as long as that is what we are doing- following Him. We are all called to be saints wherever we are and wherever we go.
