I think I have mentioned on here that one of my goals this holiday season was to have my shopping done by December 1, in hopes of spending most of Advent spiritually preparing myself for Christ's birth. Unfortunately, that didn't quite happen. I bought and wrapped my last gift just two days ago.
Nevertheless, by starting much, much earlier and spreading it out, this Advent has been much more fulfilling than last year's. I have taken time to spiritually feed myself- not as much as I'd like, but still. I have tried to constantly remind myself why I set that goal and tried to observe at least the spirit of that goal if not the letter of it.
Christmas is now here. Jesus is born. My Savior is here. I am more ready than I was last year and I need to remember what the upcoming Christmas season is all about:
It's all about You, Jesus.
