Chris' prayer: Jeremy Camp's "In Your Presence"

According to my iTunes, this song has been played 16 times. That includes the two or three times I've listened to it here tonight. So, not a whole lot. Certainly not as many times as some of the most played in my collection.

When I checked the play count, I was a little bit surprised. I didn't expect it to be too much higher, but I did expect it to be a bit higher. There is something about this song that just grabs me. It is one of those songs, for me, that always feels right. No matter what mood I'm in, happy or sad, mellow or amped up, this song just fits perfectly. The melody and the lyrics blend to create that.

And I think that, in that way, it is indicative of prayer and a relationship with God. No matter what is going on, no matter how I feel, or where I'm at, prayer and seeking a relationship is always the right thing, it is always what I want to do. Even when I can't feel it emotionally, it is still what I want.
