Chris' prayer: Jason Sweet's "Savior"

I wish that Jesus would talk to me more. Or, in a voice that is more clear. I think it would make life a lot easier if I heard Him say, "Listen, Chris, I'm seeing what you're seeing. I'm right there with you. This is what we need to do, together, to move forward."

Hearing an actual voice would not only give me the instructions, but it would be so comforting. I know how nice it is to hear the voice of my girlfriend, or my family, or my friends, when I'm just not sure where to go next, or when I'm feeling all alone. How much more powerful and calming would it be, then, to hear Jesus' voice in the same way.

I wonder, though, if He feels the same way about me. I'm sure He would probably like to hear from me a little bit more. I bet that all He wants is to hear my prayers a little more often and be assured that I am ready to hear what He has to say. I bet, when I'm able to get to that point, there will be plenty of words to hear.
