Chris' prayer: Jars of Clay's "The Valley Song"

When death like a Gypsy
Comes to steal what I love
I will still look to the heavens
I will still seek your face
A friend of mine lost her dad today. He hadn't been doing all that well lately, and they were pretty sure that today was going to be his last day. Even knowing that, even knowing he probably wouldn't make it to another sunrise, death was still like a gypsy, coming to steal the one she loved.

This song wasn't meant for me tonight. It was meant for my friend. My prayer, tonight, is that she can still look to the heavens, and can still see your face, oh Lord.
