Chris' prayer: Michael W. Smith's "Place in This World"

The wind is moving
But I am standing still
The above line talks about the wind moving, but it really could be talking about anything: work, church, friends, family. In all of these areas, at one time or another, I've felt like I was being passed by, just standing there while something, or someone, went on without me. It's a pretty helpless feeling. And it is a feeling that is pretty paralyzing, which, when I already feel I'm not moving is doubly bad.

It can be a struggle to keep moving, or to try to move, to create some forward momentum. But that momentum is vitally important to improving my spirits. Even the littlest things: a small project completed at work, my laundry washed, dried and folded, connecting with a friend at lunch; every little bit helps. It also helps to know that my God is there waiting for me to come to Him. It helps when I am able to realize that my place in this world is on my knees calling out to Him, because He can make everything better.
